I am on 10mg of paroxetine for 2 weeks now and have te same problem. Iintermittent, relatively week left-chest pain several times a day particularly when I am lying in bed early in the morning and before going to sleep. The pain episodes started several days after I started the drug. Initially I thought it is just some pectoralis muscle pain after exercise, but now I am almost sure it is heart pain and it is definitely associated with the drug. I wondered if I should switch to another SSRI, but I am still quite reluctant to do this, because paroxetine prooved to be highly effective for what I'm taking it and I hardly have any other side effects from the drug. I also have had paroxetine before without having any side effects.
hey same problem with me I m also suffering from a chest pain particularly on a left chest below, several chest x-rayes has been taken but all have been proved to be cleared. When this arises i felt i m having a heart attack and have to visit ER but everyime it seems to be normal if u have any suggestions please text here.My age is 24.I used to be a smoker but since one week i had left smoking.
Eight days in at 10 mg and I am having a very similar experience to what you all describe: left-side chest pain. I get so freaked out about it sometimes that I think I'm giving myself a panic attack. Chest pain is not listed as a side effect that I can find, which makes me wonder if the chest pain is a sign of stress rather than an effect of the medicine. I'm going to try to contact my doctor ASAP.
