this may sound crazy....but my daughter who was not on singulair kept getting tonsilitus with little help from antibiotics,we were talking about having her tonsils out when we did a mono test and low and behold it was mono,a month in bed it was gone gl to u
I had them test him for mono because he kept getting white throat and red throat etc.. They were doing routine blood work for well check so I asked them to check that as well and it came back negative.
I would have no way of knowing what organism is causing your problem so I am just going to give an example. Micro-organism such as pseudomonas are very good at protecting themselves. They can produce a slime like substance that protects them from nitric oxide as is produced by the immune cells. The good bacterias keep the bad bacterias in check. Singulair suppresses the immune system by blocking leukotrienes. And other chemicals reactions happen that I don't exactly have a complete understanding of.
I am still thinking about those Merck metabolism studies about how montelukast breaks down. Oh where, oh where did the nitrogen go? Oh when, oh when did it leave? I am not good at organic chemistry. I hope that I can find something that experts wrote so that I don't have to count protons and electrons, and figure out orbitals. I hated that stuff.
