I keep reading of all those that are taking their children off Singulair, but I'm really curious as to what happens next. Are you all searching for other meds. or going to fish oil and vitamin D (heard that may help immune system) ? Are you having difficulty telling your doctor that their advice failed you? I'm at a lose as to what to do next...especially because we can't tell the doctor it didn't work, just that we are not taking the gamble.

taking my son off the singulair eliminated the sinus problem and all the meds that were going along with that. Even now as he is having problem with tonsils (will be removed in July) he is still 100 % better off the singulair. We having been using omega 3 for last couple months it does really seem to help.I will know for sure the 2 weeks prior to his surgery because I have to stop it, as it thins the blood I believe. We have been using claritin and sudafed as needed but now that he is on antibiotic for tonsils all the congestion he has had is lessening as his tonsils shrink.
