Has anyone had long term side effects after taking Wellbutrin. I was on ot for two years it helped with my anxiety and energy levels a lot. When the doctor put my dose to 300 mg I had severe muscle pain and swelling in hands, feet, ankles, legs it went down after I went back to 150mg. I tried to up my dose but the same thing happened. After two years of wellbutrin I developed severe headaches feels more like head pressure so I went off wellbutrin. would still have muscle pain and swelling from time to time. started developing severe pain in legs and now everywhere along with muscle twitches and muscle loss. I now am 32 and have severe memory problems and no doctor knows what is going on with me. Has anyone had anything like this or heard of anyone with these problems.

Hi there who ever posted a reply and sent me a private mail can you please do so again. I received an email saying a had a new private message as well as a reply to my post but when I checked it there was nothing there. I contacted medications.com and they said there was a problem with the system and all the info was lost from yesterday. So please if you sent these replies, reply again, thanks, Mya

I have been taking Wellbutrin 300mg XL for several years now for major depression.. I have found that my memory is increasingly getting worse. I have also started experiancing muscle twitches under my right eye and in my right knee??? Didn't think about them being caused my the medication, but maybe it is..
I had taken Effexor previous to the Wellbutrin and experianced worse memory problems with it than I do with Wellbutrin. With Effexor, I was like a zombie and couldn't remember what I had done 10 mins earlier.... I literally can not remember things that happened during the time that I took Effexor and can not remember some things prior to taking it...such as some of the milestones my kids took when they were little... things that I shouldn't have ever forgotten but honestly, I can't remember.
I've tried to stop taking anti-depressants but have not been able to... I'm thinking about trying to lower my dose or something. At the rate I'm going now, I won't know what my name is in another 10yrs.... and I'm only 37 right now!

Hi, I have been on antidepressents for over 9 years now and my dr. switched me to Wellbutrin 150 mg. about 6 months ago. Since starting it, my memory is so bad I sometimes forget where I am going, forget what I have just said a minute ago. I also notice more twitching in my eyes and arms. I worry because I know one of the main side effects of Wellbutrin can be seizures. I just wonder if there is any depression medication out there that actually works.

I am a 37 year old recent nursing school grad and it was awful some days in class because I found it hard to remember simple things or names of surgical instruments. My memory has been awful since being on the wellbutrin xl. That was another reason why I went off of it. Good luck

Oh my gosh! I have been taking Wellbutrin for about 2 months now. At first I had energy but now I feel doped up. My eyes feel weird and I have had this pressure headache every single day for over a week now. My eyes feel like they are going to pop out, and I feel like a vice is tightening around my forehead. I am so exhausted and I get real hot when I do anything and just want to lie down and rest. I am out of sorts. My gosh, that sounds like your symtoms!
