I am on my fifth day taking Avelox. Today I noticed some increased anxiety and my ankles hurt?! A throbbing and frightening pain.. both ankles. I've already called my doctor and will go see him tomorrow. I did not do anything strenuous at all that would cause this. The anxiety is killing me!

Please visit the following websites: fluoroquinolones.org, fqvictims.org, fqresearch.org, noquinolones.proboards58.com/index.cgi to learn more about fluoroquinolone poisoning. It sounds like you are having an adverse reaction. Don't let your doctor tell you that avelox can't cause these symptoms. If I were you, I would stop taking this medication before you do more damage.

I took Avelox for a sinus infection and by day 6, I experience my first panic attack. I have never had experienced this before but my doctor combined Avelox with steroids and thus I developed a panic disorder that I continue 10 months later trying to recover from. Avelox is DANGEROUS and the FDA is approving drugs left and right these days without telling US what really are the side effects. No where on the prescription description that it said it caused panic attacks..but I found it on line. Good to know..AFTER THE FACT!! Get off that medication..IT IS DANGEROUS!!!!
