What I find that is so surprising is that the symptoms start so quickly. I only had it for 2 weeks. I had blurred vision, bloated, cramping, sharp pain in my left ovary. I thought I was going crazy! I hope the symptoms go away as fast as they came.
I think it varies. For me it took some time for it to build in my system. Although they did begin gradually it wasn't enough for me to think Mirena. I had it for two years before I putit all together and got it out. There's some info at mirena is bad. proboards83 .com
