Hi. I'll bet that the Armour didn't work for you because you weren't allowed to raise high enough. Doctors make the mistake of keeping you to the TSH test, which means you aren't getting enough Armour. There is nothing wrong with suppressing your TSH. The book stop the thyroid madness explains how patients and their doctors make mistakes in using it, and how to succeed with it. And it explains how it IS consistent. I highly recommend it.
I am with you on the weight gain, sweeling of feet and puffiness and all my Dr says is that my leverls are normal- I have gained over 30lb in the last year as well. I need help!
Hi, I am 31yrs old female who was prescribed spironolactone at 17yrs of age, due to liver and kidney failure, I have just found out i am allergic to lactose which is a found in spironolactone. My doctor never mentioned this when I constantly complained off an upset stomach so bad i have to stay indoors due to the pain,
I received treatment at a top liver unit in Leeds where i was told i was to come off the drug, but after seeing the proff I was told I would be on it for life. I think his conclusion was wrong, I was told by a top pharmacist that i should stay off dairy products, increase my caffeine intake and drink more water. I find that running helps to beat off all the energy the drug can cause and if you use alcohol stick to spirits or fizzy wine as it kinder to the stomach as the yeast in beers makes the effects worse.
