I'm taking methamazole for the thryoid, too along with metroprolol and it seems to help
I hope this goes through to Lifeimpressions. I had my thyroid removed
May of 2008, have Hashimotos, and have some of the exact symptoms as you. Wake up night chills, shaky, body aches, and greater anxiety of
the dark. It's our body going through shock. I am on Metoprolol as well
but our symptoms are due to the condition we have with our thyroid.
I can surely tell you that being on synthroid now is distressing because
your body takes so long it seems to adjust, Hang in and the best of luck.

I have been diagnosed with graves disease also, but thyroid medication isn't agreeing with me. I am on Metropolol Tartrate too and experiencing really bad pain from my elbows to my neck and upper back also. My doctor feels that my throid isn't under contrtol and this is the reason for my pain. I am so upset. Ive decided to go to a specialist at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston for my thyroid.
