Re: Dosage Confusion- Synthroid This simple of communicating dosage became confusioning. To prevent confusion synthroid is always discussed in terms of (mcg). That is, micrograms (mcg) vs. milligram (mg). This is of tremendous value The conversion factor is 1000, for example a dose of Synthroid represented as 0.025mg, would be converted as .025mg x 1000=25mcg. To fully understand this blogger’s statement feel comfortable to talk with your pharmacist or physician.

I also have been on synthroid for over 13yrs i finally stopped taking synthroid and bought a product called natural thyroid for www.nutripak company. I have no more symptoms and have lost 18lbs. I am 36 yrs I trully believe we need to listen to our bodies since god gave us it without manufacturing it in a lab. however i have had my labs done and my tsh was 11.4 so i started taking more tabs 6 a day 3 in the morning and 3 at night and my level went to 10.I spoke with a specialist that told me to try armour and use the nutripak less pills a day just to help with my symptoms and to lower my tsh so my next md visit thats what i will be doing just to get my TSh level balanced but the pharmacy can keep their usless synthroid.Mood swings, muscle cramps, hair loss, hot flashes in my 20's and 30's, crappy memory, irregular menstrual cycles, acne, hair loss, anxiety, always tired, goiter, always feeling like you have something in your throat, hypertension, and high cholesterol and synthroids the number 1 choice oh its number 1 alright but you name it i had it. So i recommend adding a natural supplement from nutripak with your medicine to relieve your symptoms its the best thing i could ever do for myself. Also let your doctor know but don't let him intimidate you into not feeling better just have your labs checked at least every 6-8 weeks in the beginning and know that you don't have to feel lousy for the rest of your life its to bad it took me to this last january to find that out all these years i thought it was normal to feel crappy all the time. Also if you are using synthroid you should add the other product a couple pills a day for a couple of weeks and increase them if you need to just don't stop your meds unless your MD is aware.
Oh one more added bonus my cholesterol level had been over 303 for over 6 years and had gone done to 287 then i started red yeast rice which dropped it to 222 in 4 weeks and no more blood pressure pills. I think i added years to my life compared if i took the pharmacy way. And remember synthroid side effects and adverse affects are all the effects all of us feel. synthroid only has the T4 and sometimes our body needs more than the T4 it needs T3 to help us feel better. I wish you good luck in finding what works for you i know i have.
