hi all I had mirena inserted in 12/07 after my 3rd child. Last week I experience an anxiety attack , felt restless, heart beating. felt like I couldn't breath. Haven't had my period for four months. Lost of sex drive, depression, and boy or boy MOOD swings. I feel like i'm not myself don't like the feeling. Having it removed. My doctors states that not the problem but I'm convince it is after reading all this side affects. Keep you posted.

Don't wait if you don't feel well. You know your body more than your doctor. I had my mirena in for about 4 months and it was horrible. I am feeling so much better since it's been out, but it has taken time. My doctor was surprised with my side effects but trusted me and took it out. I've lost 7 pounds but not the weight I gained in all. I feel better. Do what you think is right for you!!!!!!!!! Good luck!

I agree with Dydee....I had mine for 5 months and it was awful. Had my first panic attack, serious insomnia, restlessness, terrible cystic acne....headaches...non-existent libido.....always bloated...dizziness...heart palpitations. As soon as it came out, it got better. Only thing I still have is occasional dizziness but nothing like before and it seems to be less and less as time goes by. You've had it for over 6 months, it may just not agree with you. Don't let it ruin your life....if you continue to feel bad, I would seriously consider having it removed. Take care.
