I sure have. Go to spacedoc dot com. people even commot suicide with it I almost did. I was on it for 4.5 yrs it's dangerous crap. Also seems like higher cholestrol actually helps older people. Good luck for dad a better quality awaits him I'm sure. Best.

My mother is 74 years old and has taken statins for many years. Over the last month she has experienced hallucinations and is convinced at times that her husband / my father is her sister! She is being checked for dementia. I am convinced the simvastin is more of a factor. We are looking to stop her from taking this drug any more.

It has been 11 days now since mum stopped the Simvastatin and pains in knees have stopped. Shaking in mum's hands have almost completly gone also. Confussion is happening less..... She will not be going back on these tablets.
