I could have written this post myself. I had the same problem with the pill. The ring works well as far as spotting not happening. But, the side effects are insane. My PMDD is crazy. SO I went off for a few months but no weight loss (I have experienced a steady weight gain since I've been on) and my periods were so bad I could not take it at all. So I'm back on and taking an antidepressent to help with my side effects, but the side effects of both are getting to be too much. I am lost on the subject. Wish I could have helped you out more. But the only thing I can tell you is that when I went off there was absolutely no weight loss, and I am 24 as, so I know that too old excuse will not work for me either.
Ok, so we're all in the same boat here. I'm 25, but I have to say that the negative side effects I have experienced are moodiness, but not in the sense that I would join you in WWIII, more like I'm sad a lot more than I used to be (i.e. I would have cried if my bf ate my burrito, I would not had been angry). Also, I've experienced about 10 lbs gained too BUT when I started with the ring my appetite was pretty much non-existent and even when the hormones leveled out I'm still not very hungry throughout the month. So, if I'm not eating like my normal self where did the weight come from? I'm happy to say that those are really my only side effects. I've had no spotting, no headaches, no cramping. From what I've read I consider myself "fortunate" enough to be able to use the ring. I think I would CRY if I had to return to the pill. If you want to talk, please, feel free to email me!
