I had terrible side effects with Yaz....I literally thought I had a deathly disease. It took 6 weeks to feel normal again. Get off of it if you are suspicious....there are other forms of birth control.

I was given YAZ for my PMDD and PCOS. In the first week I had crashed my brand new car because I was so dizzy and drowsy. I became very anxious, depressed and I thought I was losing my mind. I ended up in ER because of rapid heart rate. I called my doctor who said I maybe coming down with a flu he said YAZ does not cause these problems or it could be psychological. I have been off of this awful medicine for eight days and I still feel very sick. Does anyone know how long does it take before it gets out of your system? I also have breast tenderness and had discharge from my breast has anyone had this issue? Thanks

I had similar problems where I was dizzy, drowsy, upset stomach, ridiculously tired, depressed, tender breasts, permanent PMS feeling, etc....I ended up going off of it after 1.5 cycles. It took many weeks before I was normal again. I also ended up going on Prozac to help with the depression. I was not at all like that prior to Yaz.....I thought I might be dying at the time. It was a horrible experience.
