I have been taking Loestrin 24 Fe for about a year and three months. I am sixteen now and within the last 6-8 months I have been very emotional and the last three months I have been extremely depressed. I know since I'm a teenager I am very hormonal and that could be part of it. However, I know that this pill has some factor in my depression and mood swings. I was a completely different person a year ago. I was much happier and I didn't have nearly as many mood swings as I do now. My emotions have gotten so bad to the point where there are greatly interfering in my life. At first I thought it was just me and I thought I was just going crazy but after reading some of these responses I have realized that Loestrin has to play some role in it. I have an appointment with my doctor at the women's clinic soon and I am going to ask to be switched to a different pill. I cannot live like this anymore, it's unbearable. I am not going to say that you should not try this pill because it can effect everyone differently. However, be aware of the side effects.
