Has anyone else? The question really is: how many others have had these symptoms. There are many of us. My story is slightly different.... it is my bicep that popped and the other one that is in terrible shape. The story is the same, the body part is different.
As for the depression and other related problems.... yes, I have those too. There are mornings when I wake up in a complete panic and I don't even know why. There are days when I can barely stay awake. There are times when I wonder how I will go on and how long this will last.
So if a doctor tells you it's not from the Levaquin? Tell him he's a (expletive of your choice) jerk and shouldn't be "practicing" medicine on anyone.
I'm only 48 and had a wonderfully active life before this poison was pushed by Big Pharma.
It is a shame that so many have been harmed by this drug! I had to have surgery to my left Achillies tendon also, they said it was peeling off the bone! So both of my feet are bad now. I saw some people ask how long will the pain last or go away? Well I have been at this 8 years and so far my pain is only getting worse! Plus now who knows how much damage this last round did to me! I think it does permenant damage, that is my own opinion though.
I wold tend to agree with everything you said, including the permanent damage. Unfortunately, that is the part most people don't understand. It's not like an allergic reaction where you can stop taking it and the problem goes away. It is quite literally a chemical form of Russian roulette.
It's also disheartening that I say I was fortunate to have my bicep disconnect from my arm. But the truth of the matter is, arms problems are easier to deal with than feet/heel problems. I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I wish the right people would listen to the damage this stuff causes.
this drug should never be used for common infections... and all the bonuses that pharm reps get for selling it should be stopped. see my speech at the J&J annual meeting at www.favc.info and a suggested letter to their CEO. paul c.
