Hello. My fiance was on nuvaring for nearly 2 years and gradually began experiencing many of the side effects listed here. The last 6 months were the worst in that the mood swings, anxiety and depression seemed to get out of control. She recently stopped using the ring about 6 weeks ago but it seems like the symptoms are still persistent. Does anyone have any experience with coming off of the ring and whether or not it could take longer than 2 months to get back to normal?

i took my rink out at my regular scheduled time interval 3 weeks ago and never inserted another one. Afterwards, it was like the side effects I used to get while on the ring, were 10 times exagerated. I had a persistant migraine that started 1 week after i removed the ring and lasted for almost 2 weeks. The vertigo and nausea were unbearable, making me miss work on a couple of occasions. Fatigue like I had never experienced before in my life set in in week 3, I could hardly get out of bed. It has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. After 3 weeks of removing the ring, I've finally had a couple of days where I almost feel normal again. I'm hoping that I don't relive the symptoms again in month 2 of being off the medication. I was on the nuvaring for a little over a year.
I hope your fiance returns to her old self again.

Are y'all planning a wedding at the moment? I was married last year and was an emotional wreck about the arrangements. The wedding may be co-insiding with the recent nuvaring removal. If there is a wedding on the horizon, I bet your honeymoon is going to be amazing! She will be stress free AND (the best part) OFF of the dreaded nuvaring! Stay strong, men!!
Good Luck to you Both:)
