My 17 year old daughter who has always been regular, has not had a period since she began Wellbutrin (4 months). Just light spotting this last month. The doctor insisted she take a pregancy test which was negative and she contends it is NOT the Wellbutrin. Lost of anecdotal info on the internet that it is though.
My periods are wack-o anyway...Celexa has been very good to me...though the sexual side effects are really frustrating....took me about 4 months to have a happy ending still not back to normal. With my husband being deployed and comeing home from R&R,which we hadnt seen each other in 11 months and my doctor had just started me back on Celexa,l know my doctor must've thought l was crazy because l wasnt going to leave her office unless she had a solution to reverse the sexual side effects,l only get to see my husband for 18 days in one year, this can not happen to me.After consulting with other doctors they put me temporarily on Welbutrin. This wasn't going to ever be a long term thing for l have really bad anxiety/panic attacks, for which even while l am on Celexa l still have to see a therapist once a week, usually.Viola instantly sexual side effects gone, though for whatever reason being on these 2 anti depressants l felt more depressed, good thing it was only til he left again.Different meds work differently for different people for me its only sexual side effects from Celexa,in the past l have been on Zoloft and Prozac which both gave me G.I. upset, then being finally diagnosed with GAD not just depression l was put on Lexapro...oohhhh what horrible side effects, great for its purpose but the side effects were very unbareable.....hair loss, lost 25 lbs in 3 months, sleepy one minute then wide awake the next, after 6 months of again the sexual side effects l was done.So just seems like sorry people with anxiety no happy ending for you..:(
yes! I too am experiencing late period and nausea after being on this for a month. Mine is only 150mg. I'm also having blurryness, weight gain, swelling and sexual side affects. I havent taken it for a week now, and am having migraines. I too suspect pregnancy but not taken tests to confirm/deny. In fact, while taking this med, I became more depressed, and forgetful, had bad mood swings so I stopped taking it without notifying my Doctor..........oh well! Seems I'm back to 'normal' in my mind and moods, but I'm having more side affects. It's a no win situation!
I was on it due to a post partum depression of losing my baby at 21 weeks gestation. I think I would have recovered quicker from the loss had I not been on this med. Isn't it normal to be sad and cry when your baby dies in utero?
I have been on wellbutrin for a two weeks and I just got off cymbalta(i hate that drug) and since wellbutrin i feel a lot better but i have extreme extreme nausea all the time, im paranoid that i could be pregnant but im too scared to find out. There are definitely always side effects if its not one thing its the other. Cymbalta made my sleeping patterns completely change, and I previously always had wonderful night sleep, now that i am on wellbutrin, i sleep a lot better but the nausea really irritates me and brings my anxiety about pregnancy back, it really sucks.
