I can completely relate to what you are going through. I went through much the same. Two trips to the ER and they failed to make the connection to Levaquin. In fact, they told me to take NSAID's the first time. When I pointed out that they were contraindicated in the package insert the ER doctor told me "that's ridiculous, of course you can take them together". It did make things MUCH WORSE. I couldn't eat, slept 20 out of 24 hours and absolutely believed I was going to die. Fortunately, after the second ER visit they stopped the Levaquin. It took me 3 months to return to work. It has been 20 months and I still fight the effects daily. At the 9 month mark my distal bicep spontaneously ruptured. It has been surgically repaired. I still have terrible tendon pain and often have times when I mentally do not feel ok. It is difficult.
Good luck with your recovery.
