I've been on Lisinopril for a couple to three years. I often get tingling and numbness in my arms when I sleep. Also, my sense of smell diminished greatly. I've now gone off the 5 ml. and am noticing my SENSE OF SMELL is much better!! Has anyone had this problem?? My hands swelled badly too, and that has improved too. Cough all gone. I'm monitoring with a bp monitor, and my pressure is normal. Exercise and good diet seem to be working. Am so glad to have my sense of smell back after years!!!!

I have been taking 5 mg. of Lisinipril for about three years now. I have post-nasal drip (yuck) and a dry (and sometimes not) cough. My worst side effects seem to be constant fatique. I rarely feel rested. How did you get off the medication? I have hear that stopping cold can be dangerous.

I am so thankful I found this site. I started taking 25mg lisinopril with 12.5mg HCTH for HTN. All of a sudden I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling like a feather was tickling my throat and COUGH COUGH COUGH. Sometimes I could feel a small amout of mucous trickling down. I too started having some occassional numbness and tingling in my arms that would wake me up but I thought maybe I had been side lying on my arm. Occassional plantar spasm too at night. I'm going back to my MD to get something else. He did say that coughing was the most reported side effect when he first prescribed but said to call him back if this happened and he would change to something else. I have to say even though the coughing sux, I have felt sooo much better after taking the lisinopril-just getting my pressure down made me feel so much better.
