I'm sorry you're having problems, but I assure you it isn't the product... You've never been on BC before, and that can be an issue. Your body isn't used to having its hormones manipulated. One month is not enough to get regulated on ANY BC. The brown discharge is probably a little bit of blood, and you can expect some cramping, etc... Give it a chance, and just communicate with your GYN. If they tell you any birth control is a "miracle" and you won't have any side effects, you need to find a new doc. Some people have breakthrough bleeding for a few cycles until their body gets used to the hormones. If you don't want a baby right now, give it a chance... When you use BC it keeps your body from ovulating and keeps the lining of your uterus from thickening. That can make a period a LOT lighter, if not nonexistent. I use my NR (and the same when I was on the Pill) continuously, so I don't have periods at all. (It's WONDERFUL) The first few months I did this I did have some breakthrough bleeding and mild PMS. Once you find the right balance of hormones for you, I promise you'll never want to go back...
