Hi Evelyn, I like your name as it is also my Mother's name. On the BP medications, I too was having high readings and was put on different meds with to no avail because of stomach problems. I have a very sensitive stomach and have IBS which means running to the bathroom. I was finally put on inderal 80 mg. which I took back in 1997. I am also taking diovan 80 mg twice a day plus a water pill. I took my blood pressure this morning and it was normal. It was up every morning when I got up. I don't know if you have tried this med group but it has sure helped me and with not alot of side effects. My son was just put on the lisinopril 10 mgs but is still having up and down readings. I am like everyone else I hate the having to get on the different meds just to see if they are going to work. I feel like a ginnie pig. I also had a bad experience with lisinopril and was switched to Atacand. It is more expensive but I have been on it for 8 months with no bad side effects. I know most medications have different effects on different people but I've never heard anyone praise lisinopril and most doctors seem eager to prescribe it. Go figure. Mimi
