Hello ladies....I had my Mirena inserted almost 3 yrs ago and its been great. I am married with 3 children and Mirena has prevented me from having to get my tubes tied. Initially (for about the first 4 - 6 months) I experienced some of the same side effects. Nothing extreme but the typical cramping, spotting, etc...I still notice my hair sheds a little more than normal and occasional headaches (which could be caused by a number of things) but aside from that, I am very pleased with the Mirena.
