If she continues to complain about back pain, make sure something is done to check for clots. My doctors couldn't find the clots I had becuase I was complaining of Back pain and I was misdiagnosed for weeks before we finally found out what was wrong.
I know exactly what you mean with the doctors being too pill happy with teens. When I complained to my doctor about the Yaz making me sick she said that I just had an anxiety and depression disorder and she tried to put me on Cymbalta (an anti-depressant). I refused it because I've heard that anti-depressants can cause suicide in people my age. I've stopped taking the Yaz and the panic attacks have stopped and I feel normal again. I just thought I'd let you know that you and your daughter aren't alone.
I used to take Yaz and it made me an emotional wreck. It actually caused me to be so over-reactive to everything that I lost my job (ironically I was a pharmaceutical sales rep). I became suicidal and I never felt so hopeless because I couldn't understand why I was so emotional. One doctor finally recommended that I get off Yaz and on Ortho-Cyclen and my life has been great. My friend's sister had to be dragged to the ER by her boyfriend because she was such an emotional wreck all the time and she finally became hysterical and locked herself in a room with a knife. She was on Yaz and it caused her to go crazy. She has been fine, now that she is off of it. Please have your daughter put on another pill, or nothing at all. Yaz is dangerous
