Debbie,
OMG This is exactly what has been happening to me. Just beyond being tired, wrist, hand, and extreme joint pain. Yes, I have hair loss. My hair used to be very thick. I had to have my hair cut (which was below my back side) I did donate it. It is so thin. It's nice to know I'm not the only one out there. I'm taking a new h/b pressure pill and my memory is starting to come back and almost no pain. Stopped taking the lisnopril just a few days ago. Feeling some what better.

On other websites about this med. I saw where it can mess up your thyroid. Eyebrow thinning is an indication of thyroid problems and so is hair loss. I have thyroid problems (before taking lisinopril). Might be worth checking out.
I'm due to have my thyroid reading done in August. I'm really interested to see what lisinopril has done to my readings. I was getting it under control.
I recently experienced a side effect of pain in my ankles. It was from one of the drugs that I was taking and I was terrribly confused because I never had a reaction to this drug until I took this drug, but from a different pill manufacture (different maker of this drug). It turned out that the filler in this pill made by a different company is the problem, because when I went back to the other manufacture that symptom did not occur. I believe it to be crospovidone or the colloid silicon dioxide or the lactose. I have an allergy to lactose, and SILICONE, but I wonder if silicon has similar properties of SILICONE.
I just want people to be aware that the active ingredient may not be the reason why you have SIDE EFFECTS, but IT COULD BE from the inactive ingredients which are made of different fillers that may be made of lactose, corn starch, gelatin, etc. Check the fillers to see if it is something that could make this happen.

One filler I found out has carcinogenic properties. (Cancer provoking properties). Could your drug have such a filler that would cause your hair to fail out? Scarrrrrrryyyyyyyy!!! Check the fillers to see if it is something that could make this happen.

I am allergic to crospovidone, but it gives me hives. An allergist I went to tried to tell me that one cannot be allergic to "inactive" ingredients because they are just that - inactive - but I was able to prove him wrong. And, sadly, this ingredient is beginning to show up in all kinds of things because chemists think it in non-allergenic!
Note: if you have had a reaction to iodine dye used during x-rays or other tests, but you are able to eat salt with iodine with no problem - ask to be tested for povidone allergy.
Povidone - a relative of crospovidone - is used in combination with the iodine dye to decrease the amount of iodine that has to be used. Lots of people have reactions to that or Betadine (povidone-iodine antiseptic mix). Most people (and doctors) think the reaction is to the iodine, but it may very well be the povidone instead!
I've been taking this medication for about 2 years now and had no side effects but in the past 2 weeks I have been having light headaches and a little Dizzyness and my doctor says in is my medicine. Has anyone else had this problem?
