Well ladies, I seem to be at the opposite end of the spectrum. I have had but one period in 17 months (my daughter is 18 months) and have experienced lowered libido. I have lower back pain, abdominal pain on occasion and feel moody all the time, similar to the way I felt pregnant. I am planning on having Mirena removed asap. I am sure this makes me unpopular, but I like to bleed. It reminds me I am a woman!

When I went to get it removed , my doc asked Why I wnated it out. I told her I feel pregnant amongst all other effectz you mentioned above.
The surprising answer from the doc was yes, the harmones make you feel like you are in the gestation or pregestation(dont remember the exact word she used.Hey I had the Mirena in when she said that haha).
Well glad to get it out, its been out for 3 days now, feel much better, am bleeding but have a feeling of relief in my tummy and like you said "Makes me feel like a Woman". ok to be uncomfortable a few days of the month rather than your all the time. Get it out even if in slightest doubt that it is cause of Mirena because it is.
