I went to this web site because I want to help my wife. She's been on Jolessa for 8 weeks now. As of this week, her heart has been "fluttering" for lack of a better word. She went to the ER room and they said basically that nothing's wrong with her but she is experiencing premature ventricular contractions (PVC's) which are not dangerous (according to the doctors). She asked the doc's if she should stop taking Jolessa and of course they said,"no." We're wondering if anyone else is experiencing this feeling with this junk? My wife is 38 years old, healthy, never had heart problems or disorders. As of the past few weeks though, she's been feeling down in the dumps, sluggish and has a slight mode change. If anyone is experiencing a change in heart rhythm, since taking Jolessa, please post it here. Thank you.

I was on jolessa for about 2 1/2 years. When I first started taking it, I experienced a lot of side effects already mentioned such as anxiousness, upset stomach, i would cry all the time, and my heart skipped a lot. (My doc described it as an irregular, regular heart beat whatever that means) but she told me to continue taking it and the side effects would diminish. Once they did (3 months later), it seemed the exact opposite started happening. I was overly happy and never got sick. However, if I missed a pill one day after that 3 month mark, things were really off with me and I felt sluggish until I took it. Once again, my doc said it was normal so I figured she knew what she was talking about.. until my insurance stopped covering it in January and I had no choice but to stop taking it. I ran out of pills in early April, and since then I've developed several cysts on my ovaries, my new doctor has detected ulcers lining my esophagus and stomach, and my body has still been unable to fully develop hormones naturally. I thought it was awesome not having to worry about "the female curse" every month, but it really wasn't worth the health problems I'm having currently.

IF YOU TAKE JOLESSA, STOP.

Hi, yes and after about 12 weeks I started with a non stop headache that I have now had since June that turned out to be a blood clot from the birth control. I too am 38 and had just started B/C in March 08 after being off of it for approx 10 years.
Hope this helps.
