I had the Mirena for 5 months, had it out in Feb. Immediately (literally, but the time I got to my car in the parking lot) started to feel better. Brain fog diminished, bloating decreased. In the first week, my waist was back to normal, the headaches disappeared. In the second week, the cystic acne was gone. Took about 3-4 weeks for my energy to return but I could sleep at night (finally) and just felt normal. So I'm at 6 months now and don't regret removal AT ALL. Good luck to you, I hope that your surgery will go well. Take care.
See my post for today =)
It went well and I will keep you informed.
How come you have to have surgery? You are, in my opinion, definitely doing the right thing.
