I too ended up with Stevens Johnson and in the ER. The skin peeled off my lips and lining of my mouth. Thank God they said this is a mild case. It has gone all through my system and affected my skin to where it looks all loose and wrinkley and soo dry and burning all over. I have been off the drug for 3 weeks but am still having the skin problems. Also have no appetite and everything taste bad (especially sweets which I normally love) Wondering how long it will take and if the skin will heal back to normal. Dr.s are not giving me any answers. They did give me a prescription for Medrol dose pack (steroid) if I want to try that, but I am hesitant because I have just gone through 2 major side effects from drugs and am afraid to take anything else. After taking the Bactrim, they put me on Keflex and I then developed Serum Sickness. They tell me the steroid will help, but I am afraid of anything new at this point. Did your skin separate and get loose like this and did it heal back to normal? Thanks.
