I believe that taking Levaquin and prednisone at the same time will intensify your reaction. Please, before taking another pill of levaquin, please do more research online. There are so many people suffering from the nasty effects of this horrible drug. Check out fluoroquinolones.org, favc.info, fqresearch.org, fqvictims.org. Maybe since you only took 2 pills, your symptoms won't be too long lasting. Some people's symptoms last for months and years. Good luck to you.

Please listen to the advice given in the first reply. I too was given Levaquin and Prednisone. They should not be given together because it greatly increases the chance of tendon damage. Once again, I am proof of that fact as my distal bicep tendon spontaneously ruptured. I wish I had never heard of these two drugs. Almost two years after the fact, I am still dealing with the damage. I had the symptoms you are describing and they were followed by a complete inability to ingest food and extreme fatigue. Then came extreme panic, terror, and multiple trips to the ER. Please do the research described above and be forewarned.

I could have written your post (minus the Prednisone). I've also been on Levaquin for only 2 days. Taking them due to a nasty bladder and kidney infection. I hurt more than I ever remember hurting...it is like someone used me for a punching bag. I too, cannot taste anything and I couldn't sleep more than two hours last night. I range between feeling like 200 hundred degrees and having the chills. I wish you the best...I don't know what I am going to do.
