Hello - you are definitely not crazy. This thing wreaked havoc on my like the past month and a half. Mine is coming out today by surgery because it turned sideways. I have friends who are in med school, and they are just people like you and I. It is annoying when physicians act irresponsibly and unresponsibly to legitimate patient complaints. You should write a letter to the the office manager of your physician's office. I know my response is not psychosomatic. I went into it having no idea that these side effects could really happen. I was so naive, I just thought it would go in and life would be so simple for five years.
Get it out ASAP, from what I understand life gets better right away.
I can totally sympathize with you. I only had mine in for 15 days and I just had the Mirena taken out at 4:00pm today. I feel so much better already. NO MORE CRAMPING!!! It's 9pm now and I have almost stopped bleeding. I was also having hot flashes, nausea, stomach aches and diarrhea. Sorry to be so graphic, but I just wanted to share what happened with me. Hopefully you went to the Dr. and they were able to take it out for you. Another thing is I had insomnia, probably because the cramping was so bad it would wake me up. It was too hard to not sleep, take care of my 2 kids and go to work. Good luck to you!
According to my gyne, you're not supposed to have this put in unless you've had one child. So I think your doctor may not know what they're doing.
