First of all - I am not a doctor or a nurse.

Just an ordinary person who happens to be interested in side effects because I saw some relatives suffer.

I feel very sorry for you.

I cannot say that it`s not because of Gardasil. It could very well be.

It could also be because of the different antibiotics that you have taken.

Or the combination of the medications.

The reason I started to look at a certain group of antibiotics was because a close friend was prescribed Ciprofloxacin and others.

This kind of antibiotics is called fluoroquinolones - or just quinolones.

He already had some health issues but suddenly he became very confused.

Your head is the most important part of your body - because without that functioning well you are lost (unless you have strong relatives).

I was surprised to find that there were people on the Internet that said that they had been "floxed".

This group of antibiotics can cause an awful lot of terrible side effects which very few seem to recognise.

Neither the doctors - nor the patients.

Neither in the U.S. nor in Sweden where I live.

Please read Stephen Frieds book "Bitter Pills" it`s about his wife who took antibiotics of this kind and ended up in the psyciatric ward.

They did although I live in Sweden, but that was in 2005.

I don´t know if they still do.

I wrote to them and recived a very nice reply.

One of the things they said was that you should never combine this kind of antibiotic with for instance NSAID (non steroid anti-inflammatory drugs), cortisone or Warfarin (blood thinner).

I took my daughter to the health department yesterday for a hep a shot, i was told she needed the gardisil shot my daughter is only 10 years old, my 25 yr old step-daughter has hpv and had her cervix removed so i thought i was doing the right thing. The nurse at the health department said to get the shot if her daughters were old enough she would get it for them. Now i am terrified my daughter will suffer these terrible side effects. Can i not get her 2nd shot and she will be ok.

I am HORRIFIED at what has happened to you and all of you women from this drug and you all have my deepest sympathies. If you haven't already, reference the prescribing information on Merck's website and review their clinical trial results.I think it said that out of 10,000 participants who received this drug, 245 or 2.3% developed autoimmune disorders. I find it disgraceful that the FDA even approved this drug. I represent a group of parents whose children have suffered horrible psychiatric reactions from Singulair, another Merck drug and have some advice:

Hello. First, let me start by saying that I am so sorry to hear about what has happened to you - to all of the young women that are suffering because of this selfish drug company.
My daughter received her first injection on August 19th, 2008. There were no problems right away. As a matter of fact, we are just making the connection between her illness and the vaccination.
In late September or very early October, she started with what we thought was a virus - typical - sore throat, headache (VERY SEVERE), body aches- neck ache in particular (VERY SEVERE), fever- lingered around 101 for approx. 5-6 days, rash, AND abdominal and back pain. Specifically, mid-back pain accompanied by frequent urination and abdominal pain.
We eventually ended up in the ER, and they attributed this to dehydration, but I am not convinced. The back pain and abdominal pain is back again. The other symptoms have never gone away, and a whole host of other symptoms have popped up.
She now has numbness in her arms, accompanied by severe pain in her right arm - the arm that she received the injection in. She also has numbness in her legs, all the way up to her thighs (to her hips, basically) and that comes with pain in her right leg. She gets pain in her wrists, elbows, head, neck, and other joints. She has numbness in her face. There is so much that I really can't even list everything.
We are very frustrated by the fact that every time we contact the doctor about this - they just don't seem to know what to do. If the doctor doesn't know what to do, then who does????
Have you had any success with the resources that I saw in a posting from a few months ago?? I would definately be interested in looking into that - please let me know how far you have gotten.
I know that it will take a group of "victims" sticking together to get anyone to listen. And, since this happened to a population of females - most likely, everyone is being told that they are imagining things, or that things are in their heads, or my favorite - you are too emotional, if you could just relax, you would start to feel better.
Well, I don't know about you, but I won't be talked to that way and I definately won't let my daughter! There is definately something not right with this vaccine and they need to STOP giving it out - PERIOD!!

I have had Interstitial Cystitis symptoms since a few months after I got the Cervical Cancer vaccines. I was scheduled to have a cystoscopy done today but had to cancel the surgery due to having the flu. I'm now thinking of getting a flu vaccine to stop it happing again - but I'm a little afraid to. I typed in 'Cervical Caner Vaccine Interstitial Cystitis' into Google and found you. This was because the lady at the health food store I go to found out I had been getting IC symptoms for a while and asked me if I'd had a vaccine a few months before, I told her I had, she said she hears it all the time - people getting auto-immune diseases from vaccines.
But what can you do? Not have vaccines? Risk getting Polio and Heb B, etc. Risk getting Cervical Cancer? Well, ironcially I WILL never get Cervival Cancer now because it's too painful to have sex. Maybe that's what the vaccine was supposed to do. Technically it works. Sorry, I have a black sense of humour sometimes.
I haven't had any of the other symptoms you speak of - perhaps they are related to other things. Although one thing I do need to point out is that a few months after I had my second Cervical Cancer vaccine my immune system dropped really really low. This was because I was in an abusive relashonship at the time and was very stressed. I know my immune system was low because I was catching every flu, bug and cold going around at the time (normally I only catch one a couple of times a year) and getting serious skin infections simply from doing things which couples normally do which would normally not cause most people to break out in a serious skin infection. So maybe the 2.3% who are getting auto-immune diseases after vaccines are those who for, whatever reason, have a low immune system during or after getting the vaccine. Just a theory. This does not make the companies who create these vaccines guiltless because times of stress can come on without warning (such as a close relative dying, for instance) and you would be stressed, your immune response would drop and that could leave you vulnerable after having had a vaccine. Perhaps there should be a warning given about these possibilites to people who get vaccines. They warn you before an operation about the risks. Why not warn you before a vaccine? I suppose because the risks associated with operations are easier to prove, perhaps.
Anyway, I want you to know you're not alone. This is happening to other people. Certainly if you can get a courtcase running I wish you all the best. You will definitely need LOTS of people backing you up. This will be difficult because IC is not a common disease. Auto-immune diseases in general are not common. You will need to be very patient and very calculating - you will need to prove IC rates went up after Cervical Cancer vaccinations, for instance, you will need to prove a link and the Lord only knows how you'd get those figures. You will also need a VERY good lawyer. Planning on winning Tatts Lotto? No, seriously, all the best. But this won't be easy for you. And you've already gone through enough. You're a very strong person to even consider taking this on.

Hi i'm a male 43 y/o Man. Irecently just finished a second set of cortisone shots. The first set was in my upper neck to shrink a disk the second set of three was in the lower back since having the three in the lower back by the L4 disk. I have lost control of my bladder. I have had on occassion blood in my urine that occurred for two days.now i'm having heachaches pain in my legs both legs sinus headaches. i will not take another cortisone shot. my blood pressure is high and so is my blood sugar since i have stopped the shots my bladder control has returned an75% and my eurine is clear without blood my doctor said all of my tests came back with all clear no signs of any prostate issues liver or kidney issues I'm going to seemy doctor that provided the cortisone shots and inform him that i won't be taking any more shots and I will be monitoring my situation to see if it resolves itself or if it worsens right now as I type I mam dehydrated drinking lots of water and electrolytes to replennish my body so please contaact me dcmuscle40@yahoo.com

This past September my daughter suddenly had pain and vomiting I took her into the hospital. She had multiple calculi in both kidneys and a spot on her spine that looked like an Osteoid Osteoma. They say she has 2 separate problems back and kidneys ( although they started the same day, and suddenly)

I wont go into all of the screw ups the doctors have made but 4 Orthopedic surgeons,1 Neurosurgeon, several, MRI , CT scans and a spine biopsy later- she doesn't have a tumor on her spine- it is said she is structurally normal the spot is an "anomaly". She is in severe pain and takes many medications. We have been to 2 different pain clinics, several injections in her spine the latest pain doctor has now referred her to a 3rd pain clinic and a neurologist.

Now for the kidneys. Sigh. We are on our 4th Urologist, 3rd Nephrologist. She passes what they will call gravel, debris, stones, crystals. Most are very small- the size of pepper so they are difficult to analyses. Being so small the doctors will tell me they aren't stones. I don't care what they are- she passes them and it hurts, its not normal. The ones that have been analyzed come back as mostly protein 2 have come back as Brushite- which is a rare form of stone. Again MRIs, CT scans even a kidney biopsy. The first 3 months she passed these every night and the pain would make her vomit every night. The vomiting has pretty much stopped now however the stones have not. She will go a couple of days here and there without passing them once she even went 10 days. She has also had 2 Cystoscopy retrograde studies (1 was yesterday) in which they go in bladder, ureters and kidney to look around- again structurally "normal". Will be seeing that doctor again in 2 weeks for follow up. She also has difficulty urinating- it starts and stops and always feels the need to void- like a UTI. which she has had since all of this started.

She has also gone to Gynecologist, Physical Therapist and Psychologist to rule things out. We have even tried Acupuncture and Chiropractor.. I just heard of the vaccine being a problem last night and started to research it.

i dont know how long ago you posted this, but i too have had the GARDASIL vaccine. i never wanted it, i was 16 and my mom forced me to have it done. everything was fine up until a couple of months ago, while reading your post i couldnt help but cry, for months i have been so scared and frustrated because i am in pain, i cant take a piss with out crying. i have been to the doctors so many times, and they have given me so many pills for a uti and a pid and a bladder infection and non have helped. i think at this point they are just telling me false diagnosis's just to get me to shut up. i'm scared...my condition hasnt gotten worse in the past months is just stayed the same, which is whats scaring me. i dont want to be like this for the rest of my life. i have a boyfriend that loves me and wants to spend his life with me, i have plans i have things i wanna do. and i dont wanna be in pain every time i get intimate. i dont know if what you have is what i have. but i can honestly say that i hope that i dont have it. i feel for you, because i think that all my fetigue and pain in my bladder and urine is a direct result of the gardasil shot. so many woman now are complaining of side effects and if any one else reads this, i recomend you stop anyone and everyone from getting the shot. being vaccinated from hpvs is not worth the pain that i and everyone else is experiencing.
