You are lucky that you reacted so strongly right away.
After some years - and also with other medications - it would ave been much more difficult to see the connection.
Earlier on I have suggested some books.
Most people don´t have the worry about the cholesterol.
But you have to make up your mind and the best way to do that is to search for information on the Internet - in many different places and read some of the books that I have mentioned earlier on.
Good luck!
Please stop taking that poison NOW. I am a victim too, of the many of the side effects that you described. It has been 6 months now since I stopped taken it. I still have the side effects, but it is getting better since I am taking natural products to help it. There are several things you can use to control your cholesterol.
I almost died from a statin overdose of 80mg/day. Hopefully, the E-Newsletters listed below from www.medicationsense.com will help you decide if the risk outweighs the benefit of continuing with statins:
•“HIGH-DOSE LIPITOR FOR HEART ATTACKS: HOW EFFECTIVE, HOW SAFE?”
•“STATIN SIDE EFFECTS: DO DOCTORS TAKE PATIENTS' COMPLAINTS SERIOUSLY?”
•“PUSHING HIGH-DOSE LIPITOR: MEDICAL SCIENCE OR SLICK MARKETING?”
I decided to discontinue statins after reading these newsletters.
Good Luck
Karen, Trials of lipitor have shown zero benefits for women. The only group to benefit were middle aged males with established heart disease or high risk factors. Even then, statins only gave only a tiny benefit. The risks with this drug are very high, and for females the benefits are zero. But the medical profession pushes the drug on females. Its all sales.
