I strongly suggest you go to an Emergency Room immediately and be tested for blood clots. Pain in the legs - especially while you are taking estrogen - is a serious warning sign.
My daughter was on Yasmin for two months and 18 days. She then DIED from blood clots in her lungs. She has an unusual presentation in that she did not have blood clots in her legs but most people develop those first.
I have paid a horrible price by not insisting that my daughter go to the ER. Please do not make the same mistake.
I agree with Okinawak...and Okinawak I am so sorry for your loss. That is very disturbing. I came off it two weeks ago after 5 months and my legs and feet get ridiculous cramping. After sitting at the cinema for 2 hours the other evening even my ass now and upper thighs are killing me, 2 days later???.
I am going to get checked for clots. Indie_anna do not stay on it for the sake of your health, get checked out. I think the side effects of this drug are only becoming apparent now and that a lot of women are going to have long term problems in the coming few years so those of us who instinctively feel something wrong in our bodies should stop taking it and spread the word, it's not good for most, and I wouldn't even risk it if i felt ok after reading all of the experiences on this site. it's the devil's pill and I still feel the effects. I'm gong to see a hypnotherpist to asisst with depression soon also which I don't think is pure conincidence either.
