Sorry to hear that you didn't do well on Seroquel. I have extreme anxiety and extreme insomnia. I was on Seroquel for 2 years at 50mg. for sleep and it worked great for me. I'm thin but I did put on about 10 pounds. No other side effects. The doctor switched me because 50mgs. didn't work anymore and she didn't want to put me on anything higher. I have been having extreme insomnia once again and I've been switching from one med to another because of horrible sides effects. If I'm not on medication I get no sleep in a 24 hr. period. Maybe 1 to 2 hours the most. I can't handle anything less than 6 or 7 hours so now she is trying other medications but so far I'm still struggling. I slept a little better last night but who knows how I'll be tonight. I haven't been to work in almost two weeks and I also take care of my 95 year old mom. Good luck to you. Lets keep in touch.

I think Seroquel has been great.
I take it for insomnia at 25-50 mg and works well. But I also have to use an Ambien CR. CR works fair, at least it gets me to sleep, the Seroquel really helps a lot to keep me asleep and wnen I wake, I'm not a drooling and stressing mess with a headache.
And! Ive taken it over a year and am managing the 20 pounds I put on. It was a gradual change. For some, weight is a huge issue and that's why they have to stop taking it.

Are you sure the chest pain was that? did it go away? I started seroquel last week and have the same effects.... Now I am afraid and I think I should go to check my heart.
