It's possible that you can get pregnant with the Mirena since no birth control is ever 100% effective. Please go to the doctor to make sure that you don't have an ectopic pregnancy (this is when the egg is fertilized outside of the uterus). This condition is very serious to you because as the egg grows it can rupture and endanger your life. Ectopic pregnancies rarely end in a live birth.
Thanks for replying. I was told after taking a pregnancy test at my doctor's office that I am not pregnant. But I will have it checked by a midwife tomorrow. I want to make sure that everything is okay. It's one thing for the pregnancy test to read negative, but still feel pregnant is something. I would be happy either way this would be baby number 3 and my husband and I would welcome the new baby I just want to make sure that if I am pregnant that the baby will be okay. I am at the point where I don't want to take birthcontorl any more. I will discuss the facts and my decision with my doctor and keep you'll posted.
so, what the doc say? had mirena placed may08. Mom thinks I could be pregnant. Have lot of symptoms, but symptoms also match PID. Let me know how it goes for you. I also have 3 kids, youngest only 5mon.
