I agree with you. I have uterine fibroids and after several years of wondering what was the best option for me to try, I tried the mirena inserted in Jan. 2009. When my period started after the mirena insertion, I have not stop bleeding yet. I am going in on Menday, 16-Mar-2009 to have it removed. I have been bleeding enough blood clots to fill up an 8 ounce cup. I pray to almighty God that when its removed that GOD will heal my body back to normal. These doctors are all about money some of them do not care what your body goes through. When you try to tell them then it's you and not the medication. My trust is in almighty God. Once I have this removed, I will look to God for my next option - not the doctor.
i had a hysterscopy and removal of posterier fibroids on june 15 2009 and the gyno virtually insisted i have a mirena to stop further fibroids now i am worried!!!!!! i also have an inverted uterus and it says on the packaging you should not use it if you hav an inverted uterus. i had a strong feeling on the day i may be getting used as a guinea pig. i could be wrong but i am very worried.
i am 44 and had a currette a hysterscope and removal of posterier fibroids on june 15 2009. the gyno virtually insisted that i get a mirena or the fibroids would return. having researched it earlier i didnt want it and told him he said he would only insert it during surgery if he thought i needed it. i told him only if i need it. i woke up with it though i didnt really want it at all. i am really concerned. i have an inverted uterus and it says even in the booklet for people wth inverted ueterus it is not recommended. i felt at the time..... because the gyno was so insistant that he was going to use me for a guniea pig. now i am really freaking out after what i have read. i am feeling very nervous and anxious. i am contemplating having it removed next week. i am 44 years old
