Hi my name is Sue,
I just read your note on Lupron, and the pain associated believed to be associated with this drug. I have been taking Lupron now for over a year in monthly injections. My psychiatrist referred me to a hormonal expert for my bi - polar illness. I have severe depression associated with this illness and so referring me to a specialist - I was then recommended Lupron as a solution to resolve this. Just about six months ago I have started to develope hip and joint pain in my upper legs where I get my injections. I think also since I have been on this I have also noticed that I have terrible mood swings. I still suffer from depression! I told my psychiatrist, I want to stop taking these shots. I see the specialist this coming month and will tell him what pain I am experiencing and I feel it has not helped my situation and I would like to stop this treatment. I also still bleed off and on throughout each month.
I had 1-3month injection in May and 1-1 month injection in August. I was not sure why I was getting neck pain (severe) because I had a spinal headache a few years ago that I have had residual effects from, but now I think it must be the Lupron. I have also had other joint pain in the last 4 months including the knees, shoulders and hips. I will not be getting anymore shots hopefully the pain will stop.
