has anyone NOT experienced complications with acne? And for those...

My acne worsened to the point of cysts...on a scale of 1-5...with 5 being the worst...mine was about a 7. My IUD was removed early May and I'm still dealing with this. Now I have an appoitnment with a 2nd dermatologist because 5 months of treatment has done nothing to relieve my acne. However, many of the other women on here have posted that their acne improved within days to weeks of having theirs removed. (Keep in mind that I never had acne before, even as a teeneager.) I had the Mirena for 9 months and did not experience any acne at all. I think I would have gladly taken the acne over the extreme dizziness and constant lightheaded feeling. I'm 4 months post-removal now and still have problems.

I have severe acne, and after ready everyone's posting on sunday I had it remove today. My acne is so bad, it's scale of 10!! they are big with pus, and very painful. My beautiful skin is ruin with scars. :( Now I just hope my symptoms will improve after removal.

i started an antibiotic and in just 5 days my acne has significatly improved and I still have the Mirena.

Hmmm....if an antibiotic helps with the acne, how is the Mirena linked to bad bacteria or infection? I am just thinking out loud. But do you know what I mean?

Ok, so now I have another question...
How long after you had the mirena inserted did you start to experience the acne?
