I am a parent of a 14 year old son. He has been on many meds due to having migraines, adhd, seizures, and asthma. For 3 years his ADHD meds have been switched. Now Thanks to a friend she told me about singular side effects. OH MY GOD. it blows my mind reading this stuff. He has been on singular for 3 years and never once did I think all these problems were caused by that drug. Flipping out over the smallest things, arguing with us his parents, his friends, being mean to us and a real smartass, depression, and MAJOR attitude. Getting upset over nothing at all then crying for no reason What was his Dr. thinking? Needless to say, I took the singular while she was telling me this stuff about her own son, and threw them away, I will never allow my son to take that shit again. I hope in three days like all of you say, that my son will be that loving, caring, friendly person he use to be ! Singular free is how he will be!!

Please take the time to report to the FDA website for adverse event reporting. My son and others were not so lucky as yours , this drug is under investigation for suicidal thoughts and actions. When you see a change after reomoving him from the drug ,make a call to your doctor also because he is obligated to report the changes. This will help children in the future to not suffer the same fate of misdiagnosis of other diseases and stigmatizing illnesses from side effects. Please take the time to do this.

I'm so glad you found this website--I feel it has saved our granddaughter's mental health and possibly her life. We never made the connection after 2 years of her being on this drug that should never, never be given to children or young people. The pharmaceutical companies do not research on the effects of these drugs especially for children. Now she is 12 and we will never give her any drug again that messes with brain chmistry, NEVER. We have become very informed now and we do our own research even on OTC drugs. Our children have been USED by the industry to make money. Thank God you are seeing the light and I hope and pray your son will recover from this nightmare. My granddaughter is doing well after being off of this since last April, now she's fun to be around and the extreme mood swings are gone. That's the truth. I have contacted and filed our story with the FDA Dr. Sarah Sellers and written letters to my congressman and to our US Senators. The FDA is supposed to complete its investigation on Singualir and its side effects in October. Stay tuned.
