Hi, I am 28 years old with two beautiful kids, I am happy that I found this website, I have an appointment for Monday to have Mirena, which I will cancel as soon as I finish writing this posting. I am convince that Mirena is NOT the right form of birth control for me. Thanks Ladies.

Hi! I had serious ovarian cyst in my early 20's and my doctor at that time said I will have difficulty getting pregnant. I tried everything from the doctor, and nothing worked. I got the mirena one month ago and I am this week having my first menstural cycle it has been very light which is great but I am having some cramping which has been minimal and that for me is great seeing that I used to have really heavy bleeding and cramping other than that I can not say that I have had a lot of bad side effects. I hope it remains that way. I think you have to find what works best for your body and when you ask for negative feedback that is what you will get. I don't think people should make a decision based on a clearly biased posting. Try to find a website that post negative and positive opinions about mirena that is what I did and it helped me to make a more informed decision.
