Yes, I have had the same experience. The most discouraging side effect has been the weight gain although the belching is very annoying. Its almost constant. I'm talking to my doctor about changing the Lantus to something else. It has lowered my sugars but I can't keep gaining weight. I just lost almost 40 lbs while on Byetta 10 and gained it all back when the Lantus was added. Hang in there. Talk to your doctor about it and if no satisfaction there go to a specialist.
