I have now finished my fourth month on Loestrin 24Fe. Still no period. Prior to being on it, I was on Seasonale--now, sure it's great not getting your period for 3 months, but that is another side effect page! Since switching to LoE24, for the first 2 months I had CRAZY mood swings and 6 out of the 8 signs of peri-menopause (I'm only 37). I did find out that Seasonale has a higher dosage of hormones and LoE 24 has less. When I first switched, I LOVED the Loestrin--it made me feel so much more alive and like me again from the Seasonale. After two weeks, I started the "yogurt-like" discharge that went on for two months--no, not a yeast infection or anything, just weird hormonal stuff according to my doctor. After the two months, the discharge and the major mood swings went away all of a sudden, I was just fine one day and those symptoms have gone. Still, no period...it's been four months and 6 pregnancy tests. Now, I'm still a little moody but I'm not sure if it is pill related or frustration at not knowing what is wrong. A girlfriend of mine loved this pill, so I guess everyone is different.

I have been on this pill for about a year with mixed signals, at first my periods were out of wack then seemed to get under control- definetly lighter, then one month no period the next month i light one- now it's been two months with no period and like you about 4 preganacy test. Should i see a doctor- have you seen one? What did they say? I think i'm ready to change.

I to was on Loestrine 24, and my first 6mths no bad side effects, then all of a sudden the mood swings kicked in and my life was aliving hell. My fiance at the time had no sympathy or compassion what so ever, so needless to say we broke up because I was so bitchy and psycho he couldnt understand why. Since then I have stopped taking them and I feel wonderful, and am back to myself again. the periods were not that bad and neither was the cramping, but I have a high tolerance for pain. Now I did have those nasty (yeast infection) discharges but I realize it was just a sisde effect (do to having them so much before getting pregnant). Iam now thing about Yaz, but going to that side effect page is heart breaking, the women on ther make it seem like the devils BC. I dont know what to do, I just know Im very sensitive to BC and need a low dose hormone pill, and no more kids right now. Being a woman is so difficult sometimes!!!

Ya Ya

I read through about 25 replies hoping to find someone that has the same side effects as I am experiencing........finally I found yours! I too am experiencing the creamy thin discharge! What's up with that?? I am 28 just started having sex for the first time in 5 years, been on Loestrin for 4 months now and for the past 3 wks I am constantly wet. I have to wear a pantyliner. Pain in the butt. If I forget, I'm miserable. I have no sex drive (which is not normal, I just got married and am having sex with my new husband for the first time, and I have no interest. Tired ALL the time. All I want to do is sleep. But this discharge thing is bothering me the most. I am worried it is a yeast infection. I was really strange, but the other day for the entire day my clitoris was itchy???!!!! It went away today. I called m doc and she said it was probably a yeast infection since I just had one a month ago. It doesnt resemble one tho?? I did not get my period either last month. I'm getting off this pill.....not sure what I will do next.
