After reading comments posted a couple of months ago, I took my son off Singulair. When I found this website, I started crying and couldn't believe so many others were experiencing the same side effects with their child. Our son has been on Singulair for almost 3 1/2years. He is almost unbearable to be around most of the time. He is very hyperactive, loud, and very emotional. We recently had him tested for ADHD, and the doctor agreed to try medication for him. The meds only made him more emotional and made him look like a zombie. We have since stopped those meds as well. After taking him off Singulair, the emotional roller-coaster slowed down quite a bit. But he is still very hyper. I have so many questions. First off, how long does it take for his system to be completely rid of the Singulair? How do I know if the medication made him this way or if he really does have ADHD? Deep down he's a very kind-hearted boy but sometimes he seems like he cannot control himself. He has been getting in trouble at school for squirming so much in his seat. Other comments would be helpful.
