Hi, I just had Mirena placed this past Thursday. The pain of insertion was unbearable. I was dizzy for a few hours afterward, and had such bad cramps I ended up in the ER later that night, doubled over in pain. They did a CAT scan, and some pain meds, and sent me on my way. I know it's only been a few days, but the pain is intolerable. I have PCOS, and tried this as a last resort. I'm going to have them remove it on Monday (I know she'll try to talk me into hanging in there, but sometimes you have to advocate for yourself.) My gyn told me my body is rejecting this foreign object, causing the bad cramps and sharp pains. Also, my "V" is really swollen. This is NOT worth it.
