This my 2nd time to take Adderall. I had the usual dry mouth the first time and was on an anti-depressant and gained weight. But this time I am not on the anti-depressant and I have lost 20 lbs. and not craving sweets, yeah! BUT, I have recently developed "sudden hearing loss" in my left ear as well. There is pressure like swimmer's ear, and loud ringing constantly. I have been thru several tests at the ENT and there was no diagnosis as far as the cause. I have 45% hearing loss that just came on all of a sudden. I take 15-30 mg of Adderall per day. Did your ear problems clear up after you took yourself off the Adderall?? Please reply, Thanks bjkc
I have started having some chest pain/heart palpitations as well as some hearing loss. I too love how I am able to function on adderall, but I am feaked out about the heart issues. My doc just switched me to Vyvanse which is very similar but has a different delivery system and (hopefully) less side effects. She said the take off, and effects in general were much smoother. Good luck!
Oh one more thing. Vyvanse can be diluted with water and saved indefinately without losing it's potency. You can tailor the dose to the point where you are functional but not experiencing side effects. I won't start it until tomorrow but I really like that idea. Also there is nothing wrong with taking it as needed in my opinion. The only thing about that is that you are always dealing with the "crash" that way......lol almost makes a person sound like a junkie. :-)
