a full week after my first remicade treatment, i suddenly developed a very severe headache, followed by a stiff neck, a stiff left arm, a sore jaw where i couldn't open my mouth very far and i could not chew, then developed a fever, chills and itching. It came on fast but also subsided a good bit within about 12 hours. has anyone else experienced something like this, a full week after a treatment?

I had the exact same thing happen! I had a severe head ache, jaw soreness and just over all stiffness. This was a week to week and a half after my first treatment.
I never had the chills though.

On my third treatment for auto immune(psoriasis&psoriatic arthritis) , I had a severe allergic reaction. As soon as infusion began, my throat swelled up and felt like I was dying. The nurse immediatley clamped IV , with in minutes I felt somewhat normal , but with in 2 hrs I had severe fever and chills like I had an intense flu. By the next day I felt completly normal. Needless to say I have not nor will I ever have a treatment again.

It's been 10 days out for me and my last treatment and I am still experiencing the horrible headaches and very painful stiff neck. They are both so bad, I am unable to sleep. A heating pad helps a little bit, but not much.....

I had a bad reaction 8 days after my first dose of Remicade. My Dr said it was a virus but it lasted 8 days....... Just had my 2nd dose yesterday and have had nausea, facial flushing once, and low grade fever. My body aches from head to toe. On a positive note my skin looks better than it has in 8 years

Good evening,

I've been using remicade for 3 months now and have been through 4 infusions. My UC has gone into remission somewhat but Remicade doesn't seem to be the answer either. I have severe body aches for about a week after and other flu-like symptoms. My infusions are 8 weeks apart and by week 4 I start feeling crappy again so all in all I only feel good for about 3 weeks of every 8. I'm sitting here in tears trying to decide whether I want to continue with this so called "treatment" which doesn't seem to be the answer either. I'm at a loss for words.
