Give it a try it will be worth it in the end, takes up to 3 months to feel normal
You can have it removed whenever you want. But since you just got it in the doctor will try to talk you out of it. If you go make sure you really mean it and don't leave till it's out!
I had mine put in on 08/19/08, I feel just awful!!! I'm ready to have it removed after reading all the horror stories!
i had mine in for 15 days and i had it removed. go to your doctor and tell them you want it out! i had to be persistant with my doctor's office. my doctor was actually on vacation, so the nurse practitioner took it out. takes two seconds to come out and it doesn't hurt like it did going in. good luck!
I'm going to have to go back to my Dr to have it taken out. She tried to convince me that the weight gain that I've had in 1 month with it in wasn't connected to the Mirena. I've looked it all up. Progesterone causes fluid retention in the body, so the"weight" isn't fat it's water CAUSE by the Mirena. Your doc will convince you to try it out which mine did yesterday but I'm already regretting not taking it out while I was there.
I say if you are having problems from the start, then it probably won't get better...I mean, I don't know that for a fact or anything, but that is what makes sense to me; I had my Mirena put 2 1/2 weeks ago and no problems other than spotting every day, but the doc said that will last up to 6 months. But if it were the other way around -painful insertion, pain afterwards, weight gain, headaches and all that everyone else here says they are experiencing, I would turn around and make them remove it. I would even try to make them do it for free....although I am sure that is next to impossible (RIGHT next to impossible!) but they should...
I hear you girl. I had so much pain with the insertion that I was taken by wheelchair to the ER across the road. The gave me pain meds,,then I was stuck there by myself an hour away from home. It was miserating. I have had it a year now with horrible side affects. I would have had it removed, but I was too scared. It did hurt worse than drug free child birth. Been there done that! I am having it removed now, but requesting a pain shot before removal...I'll take someone with me this time!
You can have it removed anytime. I had mine put in on 8/18 and had it removed 8/20. It doesn't hurt to have it removed and you will begin to feel better asap.
you are whiny. get over it.
you are a whiny overdramatic beast. i hate you. your husband prolly couldnt carry you to the house from your car cuz you are soooooo fat. not phat, but fat. dont hate, appreciate. peace
