If you visit a good naturalist, they can get you off these medicines that in the long run are going to mess up your heart. Some naturalists are also MD. they are the best to get you out of this dilemma. My doctor 7 years ago found my blood pressure 173/103 I went home and started the following:
Juicing 2x per day
walking an hour a day
Only home food
Lots of soups
Celtic salt: Only called Flower of the ocean
I quit eating in plastic bowls or drink in plastic bottles
Vitamins and Minerals faithfully daily.
Minerals are the most important.
In am I take a scoop of protein
today's BP 4 years later 119/60
The above post was the best piece of advice. Find a holistic doctor or ND. They can help you. I no longer take Diovan, Toprol, or Vytorin. There are good whole food supplements that can help you and not put money in Big Pharma's pocket.
to "fezz133" - hope that by now you have began taking some medications for your rapid heart rate. I have been on Tiazac for about 7-8 yrs due to atrial fibrillation which is a rapid heart rate but is irregular. Tiazac has worked wonders except when I had gallbladder surgery a year ago my system went totally "heywire" but doctors are trying to stabilize all. So don't have any surgeries unless absolutely necessary - obviously I am a bit older than you.
Good Luck to you.
