I'm 44 and I've been on Synthroid for years. First of all, I think you listed the dose strength incorrectly. Before my thyroid was removed, I was on 100 mcg or 0.1 mg. Now I'm on 0.15mg (150mcg) and I no longer have a thyroid gland (I had it surgically removed for medical reasons). Anyway, point being it sounds like kind of a high dose. (assuming you are on 0.25mg. I didn't think it could have an effect after only one day.. I thought it took a few days to build up in your system. I would cut out any caffeine in your diet, and I would definitely call your doctor in the morning before you take your next dose. Also, call the pharmacist ASAP and make sure the dose is correct (as ordered) and tell him/her about your symptoms. When you are on the correct dose, you'll feel fine. If you are hypothyroid and you do not take your Synthroid (this is the trade name) you could develop extreme fatigue, weight gain, and even life threatening heart failure. Is it possible you are on another medication that you shouldn't be on while taking thyroid medicine? Discuss this w/ your pharmacist, too. Good Luck, and I hope you feel better.
Have you had the two antibodies tests? Because it sounds like you have Hashimotos disease, and the Synthroid you are on is FEEDING it, thus the nervousness and weight loss!! You have to raise higher to stop the attack. And even better is getting OFF Synthroid and on Armour. Google the Stop the Thyroid Madness site. It's explains all this. They also have a good page on Hashimotos. That website changed my life and the book is even better!
