Here here!!! bout time there is a good response about this thing, i think so many people give up to quick, and if they develop some ailment they blame it on the Mirena lol, i have had my for 8 weeks now

Hopefully both of you will continue to tolerate this well. Trust me, none of us wishes you to deal with the side effects and problems that we've dealt with. It's just that this method of birth control is touted as a wonder option and yet as you can see, so many of us have had problems. Young, older, babies, no babies...doesn't seem to matter. There is too much commonality for us not to blame these ailments on the Mirena. We don't even personally know each other and so much in this posts are exactly the same. If we didn't have these issues pre-Mirena and started having them post-Mirena, what else do you think we can attribute the problems to? At least you have the benefit of knowing what these symptoms may be if they occur to you later on....8 weeks is a short period of time. Some women don't have problems for a while, some of us almost right away. I wish you luck but at least now you are aware.
